Greenpower Mobility – All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Greenpower creates, manufactures and distributes a variety of heavy and medium-duty electric vehicles. This includes transit buses, school cargo buses, buses for cargo and shuttles. EV Star is a highly customizable zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America conforming. It has a range that is unbeatable, ADA wheelchair provisions, and cargo delivery configurations. EV Star GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship model, and can be adapted to suit a wide range of applications. The design of the platform is based on a clean paper sheet, which allows for the best positioning of the battery pack and a lower center of gravity. This leads to better range/payload ratios. The EV Star REEFERX was developed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries and catering applications. The refrigerated trucks of class 4 have a single interior wall structure and a higher insulation level than conventional trucks, enable seamless sanitation and better temperature control. green power mobility have a longer lifespan. The EV Star REEFERX delivers superior cargo capacity and a world-class payload to range ratio for zero-emission goods and passenger transportation. GreenPower joined forces with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems that will enable fleets to make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star is also capable of wireless charging up to 75 kW. We had the opportunity to test the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The EV9 can be used to block wind and road noise while on the highway. It rides smoothly over bumps and ruts. The car's acceleration is surprisingly quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow “one-pedal driving” simply by taking off the accelerator. The EV9 is extremely reliable and can be fully charged within three hours at home, or with any commercial charger. Drivers can choose between two operating modes that include eco mode and sports mode. Eco mode focuses on the cruise control and torque, while the sport mode is designed to maximize speed and handling. Both modes are enjoyable to drive, and offer an unforgettable experience for those who haven't been in a vehicle with an electrical system before. GreenPower provides a variety of other EVs that include a multi-purpose all-electric minibus called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA compliant and can be used as an executive shuttle, micro-transit or transit bus, vanpool or a paratransit vehicle. GreenPower produces around 10 EV Star buses per month for the Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric cars. GreenPower will increase production to meet the demand of the Biden Administration which wants to electrify all school buses in America. Their EV Star buses are the first of their kind to be Altoona tested and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant, and ADA conforming. This makes them eligible for federal transit grants.
